ABSTRACT

This seminar paper investigates how security initiatives impact customer patronage in Port Harcourt’s fintech firms. Trust-building mechanisms (clear information, protection) and policy reforms (compliance, clear policies) influence advocacy and engagement, mediated by organizational factors (firm policies, prompt responses). Using a mixed-methods design with 400 user surveys and 20 representatives from five major fintech firms interviewed for qualitative insights, the study rejects three null hypotheses via SEM and thematic analysis. A pilot test with 30 users confirmed clarity and relevance (Cronbach’s alpha = 0.82). Results confirm security drives loyalty, filling gaps in localized research. Recommendations include transparent communication and responsive support to enhance patronage in Port Harcourt’s dynamic market.
