ABSTRACT

This paper evaluates Fidelity Bank Plc from an entrepreneurial-finance perspective. It considers how the bank combines financial resources, innovation, product design, risk controls and managerial decisions to create value. The study reviews reported results for 2021-2025, interprets changes in profitability and the balance sheet, compares selected 2025 indicators with Access Holdings Plc, Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc and Zenith Bank Plc, and presents an illustrative forecast for 2026-2030. The evidence points to rapid growth in earnings, assets, deposits and shareholders’ funds. At the same time, the reduction in profit in 2025 shows that revenue growth must be supported by tighter cost management, improved market-risk oversight and a broader income base. Fidelity Bank remains a growth-focused commercial bank with a clear entrepreneurial orientation, although its future performance will depend on disciplined digital investment, sound lending, adequate capital, cyber resilience and sustained support for SMEs and export-oriented businesses.
