This study investigated the relationship between leadership styles and employee commitment of Food and Beverages firms in Rivers State. The study also examined the extent to which organizational culture contributes as a moderator towards the relationship between leadership styles and employee commitment. Ten hypotheses were formulated in null form. The research was a correlational design study, having a population of 1914 employees and a sample size of 321 drawn from 6 registered food and beverage manufacturing firms in Rivers State. The hypotheses were tested using Spearman’s Rank Coefficient at 0.05 level of significance while the moderating variable was tested using the partial correlation coefficient. Primary data for this study were generated using the structured questionnaire instrument. The reliability for the instruments were tested using the Cronbach alpha coefficient tool with result from the test showing high coefficient values for all related instruments. Based on the result evidenced, all stated null hypotheses of no significant relationships between the variables were rejected as the test for the hypotheses showed that all three dimensions of leadership styles significantly contribute towards outcomes of employee commitment of affective, continuance and normative commitment. Also, the results show that organizational culture significantly moderates the relationship between leadership styles and employee commitment, Hence, from the evidence presented, it was concluded that leadership styles facilitate improved and positive relationships and interactions with significant others, such that enhances the commitment of the worker toward the organization. It was recommended that the management of the Food and Beverages firms in Rivers State, empower employees by giving them ownership and control over their work, Provide opportunities for skill development and growth.
